Operandio is a B2B SaaS platform helping franchise and multi-site businesses manage operations, compliance, and training as they grow.

They work across industries like hospitality, QSR, and service franchises, and operate globally across Australia, New Zealand, North America, and expanding into the UK.

Challenges

Operandio operates in a niche vertical, but their buyers aren’t limited to one market.

They work across varied industries like hospitality, QSR, and franchise businesses, which means their customers search in very different ways depending on their context.

That made it difficult to figure out the right terms that were specific enough to bring in meaningful traffic as well as broad enough to capture the full market.

At the same time, search behaviour was starting to shift. Google was still a key channel, but more buyers were beginning to discover tools through AI search as well.

Operandio needed to build visibility across both.

That’s when Adem Hyssoli, GM of Operations at Operandio, brought Scalerrs on board in 2024 to help build out their organic strategy.

Strategy

We started by getting deep on Operandio's buyers — operators managing compliance and training across multiple sites. For a platform this horizontal, generic keyword targeting doesn't work. Every piece of the strategy had to be tied to a specific market and a specific buyer problem.

From that foundation, we built an SEO and AEO strategy.

In the beginning, the focus was on Google. So we identified the right keywords across Operandio’s core markets and built visibility there.

But as search behaviour started to shift, we layered in AI visibility so Operandio could show up in platforms like ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity as well.

Content

Operandio's buyers are operations leaders who know their industry well and have no patience for surface-level content.

So, we built in-depth content around the exact problems they face: how to standardise operations, manage teams at scale, and stay compliant across sites.

We also mapped how competitors position themselves in each market, and used that to sharpen how Operandio shows up.

In fact, Adam mentioned that some of those ideas fed back into how Operandio thinks about their own positioning: which markets to prioritise, how to show up against specific competitors, etc.
